Differentials

At Money Pit 4x4, differentials are our specialty. Whether you’re regearing after a lift, rebuilding after a breakdown, or adding lockers for off-road performance, we’ve got you covered.

Why Regear?

If you’ve lifted your rig or upgraded to bigger tires, your stock gears aren’t doing you any favors. Regearing helps restore lost power, improves drivability, and brings your drivetrain back into balance. Whether you’re crawling rocks or just trying to keep your RPMs in check on the highway, a regear makes all the difference.

Symptoms you might need a regear:

  • Sluggish acceleration

  • Loss of torque or towing power

  • Rough shifting or high RPMs at cruising speed

  • Poor gas mileage after a lift/tire upgrade

What We Work On

We specialize in regearing and differential work for the most popular off-road platforms:

  • Toyota (Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, etc.)

  • Jeep (Wrangler, Gladiator, Cherokee, etc.)

  • Ford, Chevy, and Dodge trucks and SUVs

Not sure if your vehicle’s a fit? Just ask—we’ll let you know straight up.

The Regear Process

Here’s how it works when you book a regear with us:

1. Get in touch.
Tell us about your build—tire size, lift, how you use the rig—and we’ll recommend the right gear ratio.

2. Get an estimate.
We’ll price out your setup and walk you through everything, no guesswork.

3. Pay for parts.
Once you're ready to move forward, we order the gear sets and any related components needed for your install.

4. Schedule your service.
When parts arrive, we’ll lock in your install date.

5. Regear day.
Drop your rig off, and we’ll handle the rest. Jerad personally oversees every differential job to make sure it’s done right.

6. Break it in.
We’ll walk you through the 500-mile break-in procedure and let you know when to come back for the initial gear oil change.
